Business development is often viewed as something you “do to” your clients or prospects. In reality the most successful, sought after and rewarded business developers are those who are able to capture the imagination of their clients and lead them to achieve new and inspired outcomes and solutions through engaged conversations.

Two critical factors are required for success – a business development “Process” and the critical soft “Skills”.

Ralph will conduct an interactive session and present his proven business development model that has enabled engineering firms to secure profitable projects, retain clients and build their brand. He will also equip attendees to improve their communication skills including strategic questioning, active listening, emotional intelligence and empathy which lead to deeper connection, trust and greater profit!

Presenter's Background

Ralph Kison, President of Growth Through Learning Inc. works with individuals, organizations and professional associations across North America in business-to-business and professional services environments.

His career includes over 28 years working with engineering, architectural, environmental services, geotechnical, construction, distribution and insurance firms to improve their business development and sales effectiveness.

He frequently facilitates partnering and lessons learned sessions for project teams in addition to providing services focused on employee and organizational development in the areas of leadership coaching and succession planning.

Ralph is a member of ASHRAE.
