ASHRAE OVC SEMINAR

Business Development

This seminar has been tailored to offer the attendees a comprehensive look at methods to improve customer relations, and an appreciation for the business development process.  They will also be exposed to the essential “soft skills” that will enable them to engage with clients to conduct a needs analysis, through effective qualifying and discovery, to reveal the client’s requirements.  This will help to enable them to prepare a value-based solution.

This seminar presents great value to ASHRAE members, but is not specifically targeting the HVAC community, as much as the construction industry at large, and the various components that all require an advancement of business skills.  It is geared towards those who intend to work towards stronger appreciation of the responsibilities and roles taken on while advancing through their profession, and the best ways to optimize their talents.  From the initial roles of concept and application, through the final sign off on a project, any person involved in the industry can benefit from the tools being offered in this seminar

OVERVIEW:

Business development is often viewed as something you “do to” your clients or prospects. In reality the most successful, sought after and rewarded business developers are those who are able to capture the imagination of their clients and lead them to achieve new and inspired outcomes and solutions through engaged conversations.

Two critical factors are required for success – a business development “Process” and the critical soft “Skills”.

Ralph will conduct an interactive session and present his proven business development model that has enabled engineering firms to secure profitable projects, retain clients and build their brand. He will also equip attendees to improve their communication skills including strategic questioning, active listening, emotional intelligence and empathy which lead to deeper connection, trust and greater profit!
